The Buckaroos uk

The Buckaroos uk are a group based in the North East of England and have been formally established since 2003 to preserve our Western hobby and way of life.

The group are Western enthusiasts who like to portray and re-enact periods from the American West circa 1860s - 1900s.  Some of our members have been involved in other period re-enactment groups and we try our best to dress and relive the character / era we are portraying.

We have raised money for local charities and support the County of Durham Emergency Volunteers Charity (C.O.D.E.V - See below for more details), with all donations from Buckaroos Events.

Our members hail from all across the North East and span  a wide age group. We hold monthly meetings at Jarrow Labour Club, the home of The Gunfighters (see link), where we practice sketches and discuss club news, events etc. Our Round-ups are an opportunity to relax , practice sketches and just have a good time!!

The Buckaroos have done work for North Tyneside County Council, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne Kidney Patients Trust and  Private Functions.  No two shows are the same, entertainment guaranteed !!

We follow a strict code of Health and Safety and have full public liability insurance for all shows.  We are currently building up our sets.  At present we have a Mercantile, Jailhouse, Saloon and Bank  frontages, as well as authentic camping.  We will be adding a Barber Shop, Funeral Parlor and a Corral this year.

This amount was matched by a very generous person attending the Festival.

We will continue to support this Charity during 2006.
